According to a report on Indiewire.com the first trailer for the film, which stars Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, features the cover. It sees O singing over a version of the Led Zeppelin track reworked by Reznor.
Details of the score and whether Reznor is working with guest vocalists have not been formally confirmed. O does have experience of working on cinematic scores, having written the score for 2009's Where The Wild Things Are.
The US remake is being directed by David Fincher, who also directed The Social Network. Reznor and writing partner Atticus Ross scored the Facebook film, winning anOscar in the process. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo will be released in UK cinemas in December.
