A tornado has struck Springfield in western Massachussetts.
There are no reports at this time of fatalaties.
NECN reports that there is damage in the area, including toppled trees, roofs torn off, and a tractor trailer which has blown over on the Memorial Bridge.
WWLP 22 in Springfield captured some remarkable video of the tornado forming near the Connecticut River, and as the video progresses, you can see water churning and being sucked into the tornado.
Jane Albert, media supervisor for Baystate Medical, tells CBS News that at least eight patients have been admitted with trauma injuries from the tornado, and that many other patients with minor injuries are waiting to be admitted to triage.
