tina fey sarah palin
How good is Tina Fey's Sarah Palin impersonation? So good that on a Sunday night Fox News report noting that Sarah Palin is "50/50" about running for president, the network displayed a photo of Tina Fey in the background. To me, this is hilarious. To Fox big wigs, not so much. They were pissed that it looked like they couldn't identify their former employee and, understandably, sent around this stern memo:Effective immediately, there is zero tolerance for on-screen errors. Mistakes by any members of the show team that end up on air may result in immediate disciplinary action ... That may include ... termination Yikes. Better get it together, Fox employees. And if there are any non-conservatives in the building, you may want to gather your stuff and quietly slink out the back.
See, as someone who worked in TV for 10 years, I can say with confidence: This wasn't a mistake. You don't accidentally run a still of an ex-Saturday Night Live cast member instead of one of the ex-Alaska governor. Tina Fey's impression is great, but come on. One can tell the difference. This here seems to be the work of someone who doesn't like Palin; someone who -- gasp -- isn't Fox-conservative. It's one thing not to like Sarah, it's another to run a photo of Tina Fey. Whoever ran that image of Fey turned that Fox News Report into Weekend Update. And it was glorious.
