Taste of Omaha hits new spot

Taste of Omaha had no recipe that could accommodate a swollen Missouri River, and so the annual food festival moved to higher ground.
As of Saturday, Day 2 of Taste of Omaha, the event appeared to be surviving and possibly thriving in its hastily arranged layout in Heartland of America Park and streets just west of the park.

That layout proved unworkable when the Missouri River rose last weekend, threatening to wash over the landing.
