untech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. has introduced the STP250S-20/Wd+ BlackPearl, a new generation high-efficiency module. According to the company, the BlackPearl modules - which use a different technology than is used in Suntech's Pluto products - achieve up to 15.2% conversion efficiency.The BlackPearl 250 W product is a 60-cell module comprising six-inch black square cells. The module features a 0% to 5% positive power tolerance and exceptionally low oxygen content, leading to strong resistance to light-induced degradation, Suntech says.
In addition, the modules are built to withstand all weather conditions, including severe wind loads and heavy snow loads - well above standard requirements.
Suntech plans to begin shipping the new products to Europe this month.
