O’Neal is the latest celebrity to embrace new media for a big announcement.
Newt Gingrich tweeting that he was running for president. Tim Pawlenty, former governor of Minnesota, announced he was throwing his hat into the ring via a somewhat epic YouTube video. And President Obama’s YouTube announcement that he was running for reelection got more than 100,000 views in one day.
