Round 1, Season 3 of "Basket-BRAWL" Wives

The premiere of [Ex] Basketball Wives caused quite a stir on Twitter and Facebook. The story follows a group of women who’ve dated, lived with, had babies by, and divorced basketball players. Ironic how the ‘happily’ married women has only made cameo visits on the show… The trending issue was the lawsuit over t-shirts and slandering one’s reputation.

It can also be referred to as libel (written form) or defamation which damages somebody’s reputation (including pictures, or representations in public or permanent form). In an era of instant communication, cyber bullying, and catty karma - potential lawsuits are rampant in social networks. Internet communication is regarded the same way as published material in magazines, newspapers, and books (Lambert & Calvert, 2008).
