Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade reflects on 2006 Finals

Dallas point guard and likely future Hall of Famer Jason Kidd is 38 years old for these NBA Finals and nearing the end of his career. Age hasn’t limited his contributions during the playoffs, though.
Through the first three rounds of the playoffs, Kidd tied with Jason Terry for most three-pointers on his team and entered the NBA Finals with a league-high 33 steals this postseason. His 2.2 per game were second to Spurs guard Manu Ginobili.
“The guy has great love and respect for the game and has taken phenomenally good care of himself,” Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said. “In terms of all-time great players, he’s got a motor that has been running at a high level for so long. … He’s one of the all-time unique guys that’s ever played.”
Heat star Dwyane Wade LeBron James was asked Tuesday what he most remembered about Kidd during the early years of his career.
“He had a box, a high-top box,” James said jokingly about Kidd’s hairstyle. “He was basically Derrick RoseJohn WallRussell Westbrook. He could definitely pass the ball better than all those guys.”
