Capstick, a clinical leader in the Intensive Care Unit, has worked at the hospital for 22 years. She was nominated for the award by Mary Beth Nellis, a colleague in the ICU.
“Her caring and support for her co-workers and her organization and sharing of educational resources make Norwood Hospital an easier and pleasant place to practice nursing,” said Nellis.
The hospital's chief nursing officer also praised Capstick’s leadership.
“Norwood Hospital nurses demonstrate their professionalism and problem-solving ability in new ways every day,” said Kathleen Davidson. “Mary is one of our shining stars with her dedication to fostering best practices of care among our ICU staff.”
